As the oldest local sorority at Pace University, Sigma Iota Chi is steeped in tradition and continues to grow year after year. As such, we are proud of our long heritage as a successful organization.

Sigma Iota Chi was founded in September, 1989 by 22 young women. The foundation of Sig I Chi began as the little sister organization of Tau Kappa Epsilon (aka TKE), the 'Sigma Iota' chapter. In the interest of sisterhood and growth, these women evolved into their own sorority. Our founding sisters added Chi to the chapter name, forming the name Sigma Iota Chi. To date, we have continued to share our special bond, as our founding sisters pledged right along with our big brothers.

In September, 2009 we celebrated our 20th anniversary in Pleasantville, NY-- the very town where cherished friendships and a lifetime of memories were made.

Today and forever, Sigma Iota Chi carries on the traditions of friendship, loyalty, honor, trust and sisterhood for life.
